Art in small scale...

Happy Monday, everyone!

I've been making mini canvases and tags lately. And some twinchies and ATCs for the swaps on UK Stampers forums.

Here's a selection of some recent projects:

Stamps used: Specs by Unity Stamp, text backgrounds by Glitz

Stamps used: Unity Stamp

Stamps used: bicycle by Unity Stamp, doilies by My Mind's Eye, memory definition by Catslife Press.

That's all for now! Hope you all have a creative week!

Unity Kit of the Month Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday!

Unity has a new sketch challenge for showcasing Kit of the Month - the current one or any previous KOM. This is the first sketch:

I don't have my latest Kit of the Month yet so I've used the March kit because I haven't really had a change to play with that much yet. Here's my card:

It's a bit more messy than most things I make - I really wanted to just do something fun and play with colours and ink! That's what it's all about after all - doing something fun and expressing yourself. That sounds so cheesy but I really believe it.

The designer papers on the card are from My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose collection. I can't get enough of the gorgeous patterns and colours in that collection! They're perfect for the shabby distressed look.

Have a good week!

Unity Challenge - bird theme

Hi everyone! Sorry about the radio silence of recent weeks - but I'm back now, with a card for the Unity Stamp Company Challenge.

I'm getting my card in just before the 15th May cut off point. The theme this month has been bird or birds.

I dug out my Melody Ross & Unity Love Life stamp set for this. The floral stamp in the corners is from Unity's January Kit of the Month. I wanted to do something inky and distressed with a vintage feel. So, that's what I did!

The rose paper at the background is Laura Ashley. I've also used a part of a paper doily, a manila tag, some cream coloured seam binding, Prima pearls and Distress Inks.

Hope you're all having a good weekend and getting loads of time to make things!
