WMS Sketch Challenge - more Halloween!

I'm still making Halloween cards - and have just started making Christmas cards, too, but more on those later...

This is for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge where this week's sketch is this:

My card is made pretty much entirely with Waltzingmouse Stamps, with the addition of cardstock & ink (obviously!), ribbon and a button!

I used a pattern from Off Beat Backgrounds and the little bats from Cicely at Halloween and Gracie at Halloween for the background, Holiday Labels No. 14 on the die cut and the witch and sentiment from Gracie at Halloween.

The ribbon matches the purple inks and markers a bit better in real life but it was refusing to photograph better.

Hope you're all enjoyed the weekend! Feels like it has just flown by again... (see what I did there?!)

Imagine It - Unity Friends With Flair Friday card

Happy Friday!

Every Friday Unity hosts Friends With Flair over on their blog, for us Unity fans to show our stamped creations.

I actually made this card last weekend but haven't had time to blog it until now.

I've used Unity's Donna Downey stamps from the set "Imagine It". The label is die cut with Nesties and inked with alcohol inks - it has a bronze metallic sheen in real life that I couldn't capture in the photos. The background is an embossed sheet of Black Magic cardstock.

I just love that quote! What have you achieved this week?

Me, well, I'm now running for 28 minutes nonstop for the first time in my life. I started training using the Couch to 5k plan at the end of June and I'm now nearly finished, going to be running for 30 minutes 3 times a week from next week! It has been truly amazing. I've never been athletic and was never good at running before. I'm so proud of having got this far with it. And having achieved that, I now feel I can do anything! Happy place!

Have a great weekend!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge - Autumn is coming!

Happy September!

Despite a warm weekend, it's getting undoubtedly autumnal. Autumn means lovely warm colours, big mugs of hot tea, getting cardigans out from their summer storage and having the cat sleeping under the duvet all night. What's not to love?!

With that in mind, I've used some of my favourite autumnal tones and a stamp from Waltzingmouse's 'Cicely at Halloween' set for this card. This is the challenge sketch for this week over on the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge blog:

And this is my card:

The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye 6x6 'Allspice' paper collection. I just love those delicious autumnal tones!
